Our British shorthair ‘Chesh’ loves to help make the bed. Does your pet help you with household chores… I bet they arent as cute ;)

On Saturday we met up at the Extreme Indoor Karting track in East Tamaki.

Henward (the Stag) took on 80 laps by himself while the rest of the guys split into teams of 2. After an hour or so of some hardcore driving, a few crashes and one wrecked kart, the drivers pulled into the pits to carry on the rest of the night.

Here’s an action shot of Henward tackling the merging corner

Merry Christmas everyone! Here is our kitty Chesh sporting a santa hat and bopping his head :)Enjoy

Minnie is a Birman who lives with my wife’s parents. She isn’t very friendly but she’s so gorgeous. She was in a good mood so I managed to get a good shot of her on the fence post.

While honeymooning in Breckenridge Colorado there was a snow sculpting competition held.

In February, artists from around the world flocked to a little ski village in Colorado named BRECKENRIDGE!

Leading up to their arrival, tons of snow was packed into massive frame boxes to give them a block of hard snow to carve. Over a week they carved some amazing designs then lit them up at night.

At our friends engagement party last year I snapped this old bible.
Its a massive tome and has a great weathered look to the leather.

This is my wedding ring. I rested it on my jeans and flipped my 75-300mm lens around and then used my 50mm to take the shot.

It says ” One ring to seal our love and forever to entwine us”

At the Pizzeria (Pizza Carlo) at Copper Mountain the guys actually flip the dough in the air and spin it around! It was so coool!

While visiting my wifes Grandma we took a scenic drive up the coast while a storm waltzed by.

This is the coastline in Augusta, about a 4 hour drive form Perth. The waves were crashing violently against the rocky shore while the wind pelted me (and my camera) with a salty mist.

For more shots of Augusta go to My Blog or click the image.

I re-revisited this image. I wanted to remove some of the foreground bits that were a bit distracting :) I think it worked quote nicely… I so want to get this printed nice ‘n’ big… just have to convince the Wife hehe

The L.A. Skyline from above the city at the Getty Museum.  http://www.getty.edu/museum/

Its an amazing Museum with some outstanding views of the city. We were there in January with some local friends. It was a great sunny day, perfect for capturing the nice smoggy layer over the city. Its actually quite pretty despite being really bad for the environment…

The garden you see is really nice to wander around and relax or sit down in the shade and appreciate the view. There is a neat little stream that wends its way down a path to the big water feature maze thing you can see above.

We visited Japan in 2009. I proposed to my (now) wife in Nagano then after a week of skiing and site seeing we headed to Tokyo for a week.

Here is a random street in Tokyo taken form the train on our way to an Onsen for some pampering Japanese style!

All the best Tokyo!

Today I was home sick with a nasty head cold / sore throat. I read pretty much the entire Stuck in customs book by Trey Ratcliff. I wasn’t up to going out to take new photos so found some old brackets of this gate. I did an HDR of it about a year ago… but it was lacking something. So I cropped it so it is no longer slanted and used the awesome shadowmapping tutorial from Scott Wyden.
