Our adventure with Alice in Wonderland… Tokyo style

We visited Japan in 2009. I proposed to my (now) wife in Nagano then after a week of skiing and site seeing we headed to Tokyo for a week.

Here is a random street in Tokyo taken form the train on our way to an Onsen for some pampering Japanese style!

All the best Tokyo!

another shot of the Shinkansen in Tokyo. I think this was anyway could have been a regular train.

This is from out trip to Japan. This was the Tokyo transit system while people were on their way to work. I got some bad hay-fever from the dust and general crap thats in the air. The people on the stairs were not moving. and the mass of people extended up into the station. Cool huh!

Heres a kitty at Nekobukuro (click on image for link to a blog about it) or check the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nekobukuro.

Its basically a place where cats live and people can go hang out with the kitties.

This fluffy guy liked Rachel’s bag, luckily I was keeping an eye on it huh

Another shot from our trip to the Meiji Jingu Shrine in Tokyo.

These are sake barrels donated as an offering to the shrine :) Bet the priests had a good weekend huh

Heres a shot of a very formal, most likely very expensive and upper class, wedding in Tokyo. The procession was really cool and very traditional led by priestly looking guys with funny sticks and people with big fans and funny umbrellas.

This photo shows the bride and groom meeting all their guests who queued up to have a one on one with the happy (but very composed) couple.

I tried some funky editing to zhush it up a bit.

It was the Meiji Jingu Shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Another shot from Japan. This was at a garden in Tokyo. It was winter when we were there so the Cherry blossoms were just coming out.

This bird was hanging out on a rock and the pond was so still it reflected the trees reallly well.
