This is my wedding ring. I rested it on my jeans and flipped my 75-300mm lens around and then used my 50mm to take the shot.

It says ” One ring to seal our love and forever to entwine us”

A friend of ours, Gillian, was keen to do a trash the dress shoot some time. So Rachel pulled out her wedding dress and Gill found her nice red bridesmaid dress and we all headed to Long Bay Beach.Theres more at http://richardvanw.blogspot.com/

Another photo from Erin and Brendans Wedding a couple of weeks ago.
This is the sheltered outdoor area at Cassels.

Click the image to goto the blog then clicking on the photo will bring up a larger version.

At Erin and Brendans wedding on 11 December there were these funky giant chalice vase/candle holder thingies on the tables.

We went to a wedding yesterday at Cassels in Waitakere. While the Bride and Groom went to Bethels Beach for photos we hung out at the venue. I whipped out my camera as usual.

This outdoor chimney thing was looking all coy in the corner :)

Heres a shot of a very formal, most likely very expensive and upper class, wedding in Tokyo. The procession was really cool and very traditional led by priestly looking guys with funny sticks and people with big fans and funny umbrellas.

This photo shows the bride and groom meeting all their guests who queued up to have a one on one with the happy (but very composed) couple.

I tried some funky editing to zhush it up a bit.

It was the Meiji Jingu Shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo.

We were at a shrine in Tokyo and there were a few weddings going on (tomorrow Ill put an actual wedding shot up). This lil guy was stomping round like he owned the place and was very cute in his lil suit.

We were in Japan late February last year (2009)

Before I got ready to get married :) I got bored waiting around. Since I didnt have to get up early to get my hair, nails, make-up, dress all sorted I had a morning to myself. Sooooo I took some photos. I actually wore these cuff links with the suit and of course CK one.

Heres my lovely bride and our friend and bridesmaid Gillian :) Rachel was unaware of the camera attached to my face but Gill was ready to pose like a pro. Rach must be oblivious to it now so that it just looks like part of my face… a big technological growth on my face… at least its not hairy.

Heres Rach and I stuffing our faces with tasty lemon cake. Now we’ll be stuffing each others faces for the rest of our lives :)

The cake is not a lie!

This is/was our wedding cake, It was sooo tasty! made by Snob cakes (look her up on facebook) the rose petals were real freeze dried ones and were stuck onto the icing with magical cake fairy dust… yeah

The bottom tier is lemon (SOOOo scrumdidlyumptious) the middle was white chocolate which flew into peoples bellies on the night. The top tier is chocolate mud cake and is so rich and yummy!

We cut it with the sword, a replica of Sting from Lord of the Rings, which you can see here.

After the food was finished and the drinks were drank.

The Bride and Groom had left their guests to their giddy glee. The thought of moments alone as a married match in heaven, filled their newly nuptialed noggins.

They reached the hotel, happily and hastily, and over the threshold they floated.

Their adornments discarded they reveled at their regalia and exuberantly escaped the evenings events…

This is our cake decoration with the Brides (Rachel) bouquet behind it to give the red heart illusion between the 2 figures. And there is a cool card from Rachels grandparents in the background. The cake deco is so cool though! elegant and styley just like us… lol

Yesterday I Married the woman I love :) And this was my chest.

I had a creamy coloured waistcoat and tie with cool brass button thingies (thingys) on the shirt :) It was cool and styley. Rachel liked it anyway and thats all that mattered :)

Heres a shot from my brothers wedding of their cake cutting.

I cant wait to cut our own cake YAY!!!!!

Now I’m going to the (not a) chapel and I’m gonna get Maaaarrrriiied wooot!!!!!
